An indebted, unwanted inheritance, often coming from a person with whom we had limited contact, is a real problem. This one becomes even bigger when it finally falls to minor children. The legislator has decided to meet the needs of parents who reject the inheritance due to the liabilities contained in it, and at the same time plan to do the same on behalf of their minor children. Until now, they needed a separate consent from the guardianship court for this purpose, which made it necessary to initiate another, complicated procedure.

Everyone associates a visit to a doctor "on the National Health Fund" with a long queue of people waiting. As a rule, if you want to use health care services in hospitals, specialist services in outpatient health care, and inpatient and round-the-clock health services other than hospital services, they are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and the patient is placed on a waiting list

For several years, Polish courts have been regularly considering cases concerning prohibited contractual provisions contained in the so-called Swiss franc contracts. Initially, they were reluctant to accept the arguments presented by the borrowers in the course of the trial. They did not see how banks, by constructing loan agreement templates, violated the interests of consumers by transferring to them the (in practice unlimited) risk of changes in the indexation currency exchange rate. It was not until the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the landmark judgment in the Dziubak case in 2019[1] that the court decided to change the line of case law in Poland. At present, national courts have no doubts that loan agreements indexed and denominated in Swiss francs contain abusive clauses, and once they are eliminated, the agreements cannot be performed, which makes it necessary to declare them invalid.

However, from November 10, 2023, limited liability companies (LLCs) will not be able to use this form of financing. Amendments to the Commercial Companies Code prohibit the purchase of existing shares or the acquisition of new shares in a limited liability company to an unspecified addressee.

On 17 November 2023, amendments to the Regulation of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy of 1 December 1998 came into force. on health and safety at work in workplaces equipped with screen monitors[1]. The updated rules mean obligations that employers will have to meet not only when creating new workstations equipped with screen monitors, but which will also have to be implemented in relation to existing workstations. It should be emphasised that the provisions of the regulation apply to every person employed by the employer, including apprentices and trainees who use a screen monitor during work for at least half of their daily working time, i.e. the so-called "screen monitor". "daily wages".

The EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, or Corporate Sustainability Reporting, has been in force for almost a year now. Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The directive provides for an extension of the scope of obligations related to non-financial reporting, i.e. reporting on environmental, social and governance issues. Large companies listed on the stock exchange, i.e. those that already report under the NFRD, must first prepare for the changes it entails. They will be the first to report in 2025 taking into account the new rules, and the data that will be covered by the report should be collected as early as the beginning of 2024.
